• Oxalic acid dihydrate (C2H2O4 x 2H2O) heat by the Varrox Oxalic Acid Vaporizer.
• Due to the heating action the oxalic acid liquefies and vaporizes. The Varrox Oxalic Acid Vaporizer fills the hive and all the bees and surfaces are then covered with a thin layer of oxalic acid crystals.
• Oxalic acid place in the pan and the appliance then inserted through the entrance of the hive. The hive seal with a sponge and the VARROX-vaporizer heated for 2 ½ minutes.
• The vaporizer remains in the hive for another 2 minutes and afterward cooled briefly in water. The treated hive is left shut for another 10 minutes. Depending on the hive 1-2 g oxalic acid dihydrate is needed.
• Pure oxalic acid is caustic. Wear a protective mask, acid-proof rubber gloves, and long-sleeved clothes.
